Volunteers wanted: Palesa's yard after the storm
Garden rescue day in Johannesburg: bring gloves and a rake.

I'm 75 and I have lived in this house in Johannesburg for 47 years. After the storm in July, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a recent fall.
The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: a small team to cut, stack and carry away branches. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Sending good thoughts, Palesa. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Blessings.
