Volunteers wanted: Omkar's yard after the storm
Garden rescue day in Mumbai: bring gloves and a rake.

I'm 88 and I have lived in this house in Mumbai for 42 years. After the storm in November, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a heart condition.
The council has told me it will be twelve weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hope it all works out, Omkar. Get well soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected!
