Volunteers wanted: Netsanet's yard after the storm
Fallen branches and overgrowth are blocking Netsanet's path; a few hours of help would make a big difference.

I'm 79 and I have lived in this house in Addis Ababa for 46 years. After the storm in September, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of my hip replacement.
The council has told me it will be six weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Thanks for sharing this, Netsanet. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
Thinking of you. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Syracuse.
