Volunteers wanted: Lorena's yard after the storm
Lorena, 77, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we're looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.

I'm 77 and I have lived in this house in Curitiba for 29 years. After the storm in March, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of arthritis.
The council has told me it will be six weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: a small team to cut, stack and carry away branches. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Greetings from Arusha
