Volunteers wanted: Laura's yard after the storm
Fallen branches and overgrowth are blocking Laura's path; a few hours of help would make a big difference.

I'm 91 and I have lived in this house in Essen for 26 years. After the storm in August, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a recent fall.
The council has told me it will be twelve weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: a small team to cut, stack and carry away branches. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I hope life is good to you.

Hope it all works out. This could happen to any of us. After 24 years in public service I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Los Angeles.
