Volunteers wanted: Jonathan's yard after the storm
Garden rescue day in Belfast: bring gloves and a rake.
🇬🇧 BT4 3PB, Belfast, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom497 views
I'm 83 and I have lived in this house in Belfast for 36 years. After the storm in October, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of arthritis.
The council has told me it will be twelve weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: a small team to cut, stack and carry away branches. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Stay strong, Jonathan. This could happen to any of us. I hope January is when things finally get easier.
Sending love. Your post was clear and honest. Wish I lived closer to A Coruña so I could bring a meal.
Hope the doctors have good news. Wish I lived closer to Quezon City so I could bring a meal.
Hope it all works out, Jonathan. Gave what I could, wish it was more. After 22 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My sister had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best
