Volunteers wanted: Joaquim's yard after the storm
Joaquim, 89, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we're looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.

I'm 89 and I have lived in this house in São Paulo for 31 years. After the storm in March, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of arthritis.
The council has told me it will be six weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: two people with loppers and a wheelbarrow. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Sending love, Joaquim. Looking forward to the next update. We're a small family in Kanpur but we're thinking of you. Thinking of São Paulo.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. My neighbor in Santos donated after I showed her your page.
I hope things turn around soon. Love from Los Angeles
