Volunteers wanted: Christo's yard after the storm
Garden rescue day in Johannesburg: bring gloves and a rake.
🇿🇦 2009, Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa804 views
I'm 92 and I have lived in this house in Johannesburg for 49 years. After the storm in August, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a recent fall.
The council has told me it will be twelve weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: a small team to cut, stack and carry away branches. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I hope life is good to you.

Take care, Christo. Wishing Christo a smooth procedure and a full recovery. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
