Volunteers wanted: Candra's yard after the storm
Garden rescue day in Jakarta: bring gloves and a rake.
🇮🇩 Jakarta, DKI Jakarta, Indonesia411 views
I'm 78 and I have lived in this house in Jakarta for 36 years. After the storm in December, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a heart condition.
The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: two people with loppers and a wheelbarrow. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Thank you for reading my story.

Sending good thoughts, Candra. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest.
