Volunteers wanted: Bezawit's yard after the storm
Fallen branches and overgrowth are blocking Bezawit's path; a few hours of help would make a big difference.

I'm 82 and I have lived in this house in Mekelle for 39 years. After the storm in August, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a heart condition.
The council has told me it will be ten weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

- Professional and kind
I was going through a tough time and this person's support was invaluable. They didn't judge, just helped. That kind of genuine compassion is rare these days.
- Reliable and compassionate
I can't speak highly enough about this helper. They were available when I needed them, supportive when I felt lost, and practical in their solutions.
