Volunteers wanted: Atim's yard after the storm
Fallen branches and overgrowth are blocking Atim's path; a few hours of help would make a big difference.

I'm 86 and I have lived in this house in Kisumu for 48 years. After the storm in August, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a recent fall.
The council has told me it will be twelve weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Good luck. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My neighbor in Kano donated after I showed her your page
Rooting for you. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out. Love from Bacoor.
Hope it all works out, Atim. Get well soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected.
Good luck. It takes guts to ask. Well done. After 28 years in nursing I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Rockford
You're not alone, Atim. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
