Volunteers wanted: Andrea's yard after the storm
Andrea, 89, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we're looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.
🇺🇸 Los Angeles, California, United States1,341 views
I'm 89 and I have lived in this house in Los Angeles for 46 years. After the storm in July, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a recent fall.
The council has told me it will be eight weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
