Volunteers wanted: Amira's yard after the storm
Garden rescue day in Braunschweig: bring gloves and a rake.

I'm 78 and I have lived in this house in Braunschweig for 48 years. After the storm in August, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a heart condition.
The council has told me it will be twelve weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: two people with loppers and a wheelbarrow. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
Thanks for being kind about this.
