Volunteers wanted: Aditi's yard after the storm
Aditi, 77, can no longer manage the yard after a storm; we're looking for helpers with chainsaws and rakes.

I'm 77 and I have lived in this house in Surat for 31 years. After the storm in October, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of a recent fall.
The council has told me it will be ten weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: two people with loppers and a wheelbarrow. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Greetings from Dehiwala
