Volunteers wanted: Abubakar's yard after the storm
Fallen branches and overgrowth are blocking Abubakar's path; a few hours of help would make a big difference.

I'm 84 and I have lived in this house in Epe for 40 years. After the storm in August, two large branches and a fallen fence have blocked the back door and the garden path. I can no longer manage them myself because of arthritis.
The council has told me it will be twelve weeks before they can send someone. I'd feel much safer if it were cleared sooner.
Help needed: someone with a chainsaw, plus a few people with rakes and gloves. I'll provide tea, sandwiches and the green waste bags. A few hours will do.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Rooting for you. This could happen to any of us. Love from Guadalajara
shared it with a few friends. My brother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best.
Hang in there, Abubakar. I hope things turn around soon. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
shared this with my family. I went through something like this 5 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best
