Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Riley in Tallahassee
The roof at Riley's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a home-care aide living in Tallahassee. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the bathroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,700, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for a small crew who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

hope things get better soon, Riley. Your post was clear and honest. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.
Keep going. Gave what I could, wish it was more. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. Greetings from Guadalajara.
Wishing you peace. Hope this works out for you. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. All the best!
