Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Odhiambo in Kisumu
Could you spare one long weekend to help repair a leaking roof in Kisumu?

I'm a disabled veteran living in Kisumu. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the living room is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $580, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for three or four volunteers who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Good luck, Odhiambo. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Aurora but we're thinking of you. Love from Aurora.
It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't give up. Love from Depok.
This could happen to any of us. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Greetings from Istanbul
You're not alone, Odhiambo. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 9 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Good luck, Odhiambo. Shared this with my family. Take care.
Praying for you, Odhiambo. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't give up.
