The roof at Jameson's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a widowed grandmother living in London. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kids' bedroom is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $2,700, which isn't something I can pay. The good news: a local hardware store has donated the corrugated iron sheets and timber. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over a weekend. Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks. The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • It takes guts to ask. Well done. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of London

    • Best of luck, Jameson. Looking forward to the next update. Wish I lived closer to Quezon City so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Mohammedia

      • Thinking of you, Jameson. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. After 22 years in social work I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
