Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Diarmuid in Dublin
The roof at Diarmuid's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a retired bus driver living in Dublin. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 4 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $3,050, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the tiles and battens. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for anyone handy who can help over one long weekend.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is work boots and a hat. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Sending good thoughts, Diarmuid. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Blessings.
rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. I went through something like this 12 years ago and strangers helped me out. Greetings from Nashik.
sending good thoughts. Looking forward to the next update. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money!
