Volunteers needed to fix a leaking roof for Brian in Birmingham
The roof at Brian's home is failing; materials are donated and we need hands.

I'm a widowed grandmother living in Birmingham. During the last storm water started coming through the ceiling in 2 places, and the kitchen is no longer usable. A roofer quoted $4,750, which isn't something I can pay.
The good news: a local hardware store has donated the shingles and underlay. What I don't have is people to do the work. I'm looking for 4-6 people who can help over three weekday mornings.
Experience helps, but it isn't essential - I'll have a licensed roofer supervising for safety. All you need is sturdy shoes, gloves and a willingness to work. I'll provide lunch, water and lots of thanks.
The work will be done on the ground and roof with proper harnesses. If you can only help for a few hours, that's welcome too.
Thank you so much.

your post was clear and honest. I have a 16 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Greetings from Santos.
Sending good thoughts. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. Wish I lived closer to Casablanca so I could bring a meal. Take care.
Thinking of you. Looking forward to the next update. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. All the best.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. It's not much but it's yours. Greetings from Buenos Aires.
thinking of you and your family, Brian. Shared it with a few friends. Don't be hard on yourself for asking.
