My younger sister, Brenda, is 13 and in Grade 11. Brenda loves school but statistics has been a struggle since the school was closed during the pandemic. The national exam is in November. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend one or two hours a week, in person in Louisville or online, for about ten weeks. Brenda is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in statistics, you could change the course of Brenda's year. I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

  • Hang in there. I hope things turn around soon. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Louisville.

    • Wishing you peace, Ariana. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier.

      • You're not alone. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Please keep us posted. Blessings

        • Hope things get better soon. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.

          • Hang in there, Ariana. Gave what I could, wish it was more. All the best.
