My niece, Taghreed, is 14 and in Year 10. Taghreed loves school but statistics has been a struggle since the school was closed during the pandemic. The board exam is in January. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend one or two hours a week, in person in Girona or online, for about twenty weeks. Taghreed is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in statistics, you could change the course of Taghreed's year. Thank you so much.

  • Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 28 people at work. All the best

    • Rooting for you, Malak. This could happen to any of us. I went through something like this 6 years ago and strangers helped me out. All the best.

      • wishing you the best. Study hard! Thinking of Girona.

        • Keep going, Malak. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.

          • Rooting for you, Malak. Hope this works out for you. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care!

Thanks for sharing this, Malak. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust.

              • Praying for you, Malak. Shared it with a few friends.
