Volunteer tutor needed: mathematics for a motivated student in Cairns
Looking for a patient mathematics tutor, 1 hours a week, for 14 weeks.

My daughter, Alka, is 16 and in Grade 11. Alka loves school but mathematics has been a struggle since the school was closed during the strikes. The board exam is in November.
We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend one or two hours a week, in person in Cairns or online, for about twelve weeks.
Alka is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions.
If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in mathematics, you could change the course of Alka's year.
I never thought I'd be the one asking, and I'm grateful for every bit of support.

Best of luck. Shared this with my family. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money
