Volunteer tutor needed: mathematics for a motivated student in Huntsville
Looking for a patient mathematics tutor, 3 hours a week, for 22 weeks.
🇺🇸 Huntsville, Alabama, United States259 views
My younger sister, Alejandra, is 13 and in Year 10. Alejandra loves school but mathematics has been a struggle since the school was closed during the pandemic. The university entrance exam is in September.
We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend an hour or two a week, in person in Huntsville or online, for about twenty weeks.
Alejandra is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions.
If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in mathematics, you could change the course of Alejandra's year.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
