Volunteer tutor needed: French for a motivated student in Nice
Mathieu is working hard on French but can't afford a tutor; 2 hours a week until the school-leaving would help enormously.

My son, Mathieu, is 13 and in Form 3. Mathieu loves school but French has been a struggle since the school was closed during the strikes. The school-leaving exam is in April.
We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend an hour or two a week, in person in Nice or online, for about twenty weeks.
Mathieu is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions.
If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in French, you could change the course of Mathieu's year.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Sending love, Sarah. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Thinking of Nice.
You're not alone, Sarah. Hope you get there. I'll check back for the next update. Take care

So sorry you're going through this, Sarah. Shared it with a few friends. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like.
