My son, Marcus, is 13 and in Year 10. Marcus loves school but biology has been a struggle since the school was closed during the move. The university entrance exam is in November. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend one or two hours a week, in person in Melbourne or online, for about twelve weeks. Marcus is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in biology, you could change the course of Marcus's year. Glad we found this place.

  • sending love. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Blessings

    • As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. All the best.

      • Sending good thoughts, Jocelyn. Study hard! My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money.

Best of luck. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We're a small family in Buffalo but we're thinking of you.
