Volunteer drivers wanted: Víctor's dialysis appointments

A rota of drivers to the Córdoba Dialysis Unit would keep Víctor on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Víctor has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to the Córdoba Dialysis Unit alone. After surgery on their hand, Víctor can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 14 km each way. Víctor is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

      • Hope it all works out, Marcos. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Wish I lived closer to Regensburg so I could bring a meal. Greetings from Málaga.
