Volunteer drivers wanted: Thijs's dialysis appointments
A rota of drivers to Nijmegen General Hospital would keep Thijs on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Thijs has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to Nijmegen General Hospital alone. After surgery on their hand, Thijs can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 32 km each way.
Thijs is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
