Volunteer drivers wanted: Shoaib's dialysis appointments
A rota of drivers to Peshawar General Hospital would keep Shoaib on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.
🇵🇰 25026, Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan533 views
Shoaib has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to Peshawar General Hospital alone. After surgery on their hand, Shoaib can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 9 km each way.
Shoaib is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
Thanks for being kind about this.

- one weekly trip

Best of luck, Shaista. Hope you get there. It's not much but it's yours.
Hope things get better soon, Shaista. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I'm in social work myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Fresno.
Wishing you peace. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Love from Tallahassee
Rooting for you, Shaista. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Sending love. Hope the doctors have good news. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings
