Volunteer drivers wanted: Rodrigo's dialysis appointments

A rota of drivers to Sacramento Regional Medical Center would keep Rodrigo on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Rodrigo has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to Sacramento Regional Medical Center alone. After a minor stroke, Rodrigo can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 27 km each way. Rodrigo is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.
