Volunteer drivers wanted: Raúl's dialysis appointments
A rota of drivers to the Iztapalapa Kidney Centre would keep Raúl on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.
🇲🇽 Iztapalapa, Ciudad de México, Mexico146 views
Raúl has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to the Iztapalapa Kidney Centre alone. After a foot amputation, Raúl can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 10 km each way.
Raúl is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
- effort
- one weekly trip
- format
- In person in Iztapalapa
- skills
- reliable car, clean driving record

Your post was clear and honest. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. Thinking of Iztapalapa.
I hope things turn around soon. Greetings from Toulon
