Volunteer drivers wanted: Nur's dialysis appointments
Could you drive Nur to the Medan Kidney Centre on Sunday? A rota of 3 drivers is forming.
🇮🇩 20285, Medan, North Sumatra, Indonesia277 views
Nur has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to the Medan Kidney Centre alone. After an eyesight problem, Nur can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 26 km each way.
Nur is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.

Good luck. This could happen to any of us. My daughter saw me on my phone and now she wants to give her pocket money. Thinking of Medan.
best of luck, Okta. Your post was clear and honest. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Thinking of Medan.
Stay strong. Hope the treatment goes smoothly and recovery is quick. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Greensboro!
