Volunteer drivers wanted: Michael's dialysis appointments
A rota of drivers to the Ikeja Dialysis Unit would keep Michael on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.
🇳🇬 Ikeja, Lagos, Nigeria987 views
Michael has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to the Ikeja Dialysis Unit alone. After an eyesight problem, Michael can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 14 km each way.
Michael is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
Thank you so much.

Stay strong, Obiageli. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest.
Praying for you. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Love from Jerusalem.
Hope things get better soon, Obiageli. I hope things turn around soon. Thinking of Ikeja.
