Laura has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to Palmira General Hospital alone. After an eyesight problem, Laura can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 27 km each way. Laura is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Good luck. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
