Kristine has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to San Fernando Regional Medical Center alone. After a foot amputation, Kristine can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 32 km each way. Kristine is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • Good luck. This could happen to any of us. After 20 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything.

    • keep going. Wishing Kristine a smooth procedure and a full recovery. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. All the best

      • So sorry you're going through this. This could happen to any of us. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Greetings from Kano.
