Volunteer drivers wanted: Kimani's dialysis appointments
Could you drive Kimani to the Mombasa Dialysis Unit on Friday? A rota of 5 drivers is forming.
π°πͺ Mombasa, Mombasa, Kenya462 views
Kimani has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to the Mombasa Dialysis Unit alone. After a minor stroke, Kimani can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 25 km each way.
Kimani is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.

Sending good thoughts, Onyango. This could happen to any of us. Take care
Stay strong, Onyango. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. I hope September is when things finally get easier. All the best.
