Volunteer drivers wanted: Kai's dialysis appointments
A rota of drivers to El Paso Regional Medical Center would keep Kai on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.
🇺🇸 El Paso, Texas, United States388 views
Kai has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to El Paso Regional Medical Center alone. After a minor stroke, Kai can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 15 km each way.
Kai is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
Thank you so much.
