Volunteer drivers wanted: Joseph's dialysis appointments
Joseph needs dialysis three times a week and has lost the ability to drive; volunteer drivers can each take one day.
🇬🇧 Newcastle upon Tyne, England, United Kingdom331 views
Joseph has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to Newcastle upon Tyne General Hospital alone. After surgery on their hand, Joseph can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 23 km each way.
Joseph is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
I hope life is good to you.

Wishing you peace. Your post was clear and honest. I'm in accounting myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. God bless
Thinking of you, Teresa. Get well soon. I hope November is when things finally get easier. Love from Syracuse.
sending good thoughts, Teresa. Gave what I could, wish it was more. My cousin had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care
sending good thoughts. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Love from Gaziantep.
Hope things get better soon, Teresa. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Put this on a community board in Bang Khen this morning.
