John has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to Nairobi Regional Medical Center alone. After a foot amputation, John can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 24 km each way. John is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Sending love, Muthoni. Gave what I could, wish it was more.

    • thinking of you. This could happen to any of us. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Take care.

      • Thinking of you and your family. Get well soon. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Nairobi.

        • best of luck, Muthoni. Looking forward to the next update. Sent it to 14 people at work. Blessings
