Volunteer drivers wanted: Jayanthi's dialysis appointments

A rota of drivers to the Dwarka Dialysis Unit would keep Jayanthi on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.

Jayanthi has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to the Dwarka Dialysis Unit alone. After a foot amputation, Jayanthi can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 21 km each way. Jayanthi is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Thank you for reading my story.
