Volunteer drivers wanted: Ivy's dialysis appointments
Could you drive Ivy to Los Angeles Regional Medical Center on Friday? A rota of 4 drivers is forming.
🇺🇸 Los Angeles, California, United States1,199 views
Ivy has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to Los Angeles Regional Medical Center alone. After a minor stroke, Ivy can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 17 km each way.
Ivy is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
Glad we found this place.
