Could you drive Isak to Stockholm General Hospital on Thursday? A rota of 3 drivers is forming.

Isak has been on dialysis for 2 years and until recently drove to Stockholm General Hospital alone. After surgery on their hand, Isak can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 17 km each way. Isak is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.

  • Good luck. Shared this with my family. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Blessings

hope you get there. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Blessings!

                • Sending good thoughts. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. I went through something like this 9 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care.
