Could you drive Hudson to the London Dialysis Unit on Thursday? A rota of 6 drivers is forming.

Hudson has been on dialysis for 1 years and until recently drove to the London Dialysis Unit alone. After an eyesight problem, Hudson can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 31 km each way. Hudson is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. Glad we found this place.

I was going through a tough time and this person's support was invaluable. They didn't judge, just helped. That kind of genuine compassion is rare these days.

  • Hang in there, Henry. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Blessings.

Praying for you. Hope the doctors have good news. Put this on a community board in San Antonio this morning. Greetings from San Antonio
