Volunteer drivers wanted: Hamisi's dialysis appointments
A rota of drivers to Kampala General Hospital would keep Hamisi on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.
🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, UgandaPosted Oct 1, 20261,139 views
Hamisi has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to Kampala General Hospital alone. After a minor stroke, Hamisi can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 26 km each way.
Hamisi is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
Thank you for reading my story.

everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless.
Hope things get better soon, Esther. Hope you get there. Greetings from Thủ Đức.
