Volunteer drivers wanted: Everly's dialysis appointments
A rota of drivers to Sydney Regional Medical Center would keep Everly on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.
🇦🇺 Sydney, New South Wales, Australia579 views
Everly has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to Sydney Regional Medical Center alone. After a minor stroke, Everly can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 32 km each way.
Everly is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
You're what makes this possible, and I'll never forget it.
- effort
- one weekly trip
- format
- In person in Sydney
- skills
- reliable car, clean driving record

Looking forward to the next update. My neighbor in New York donated after I showed her your page.
Hope things get better soon. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. I have a 7 year old who wants to send good wishes too. Thinking of Sydney.
Praying for you, Logan. Hope the doctors have good news. My husband and I read this together. Take care.
Thanks for sharing this, Logan. Your post was clear and honest
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. Greetings from Latina.
