Volunteer drivers wanted: David's dialysis appointments
Could you drive David to the Leicester Dialysis Unit on Monday? A rota of 4 drivers is forming.
🇬🇧 Leicester, England, United Kingdom656 views
David has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to the Leicester Dialysis Unit alone. After an eyesight problem, David can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 25 km each way.
David is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
