Volunteer drivers wanted: Daniele's dialysis appointments
Could you drive Daniele to Brescia General Hospital on Wednesday? A rota of 4 drivers is forming.
🇮🇹 Brescia, Lombardy, Italy1,303 views
Daniele has been on dialysis for 1 years and until recently drove to Brescia General Hospital alone. After a foot amputation, Daniele can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 26 km each way.
Daniele is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
I hope life is good to you.

Thinking of you and your family, Luca. Your post was clear and honest. Put this on a community board in Ottawa this morning

Hope things get better soon, Luca. Looking forward to the next update. Thinking of Brescia.
Best of luck. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected!
Sending love, Luca. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side.
