Volunteer drivers wanted: Craig's dialysis appointments
Could you drive Craig to the Birmingham Dialysis Unit on Sunday? A rota of 5 drivers is forming.
🇬🇧 Birmingham, England, United Kingdom85 views
Craig has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to the Birmingham Dialysis Unit alone. After an eyesight problem, Craig can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 11 km each way.
Craig is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.
