Volunteer drivers wanted: Aurora's dialysis appointments
A rota of drivers to Sydney General Hospital would keep Aurora on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.
🇦🇺 Sydney, New South Wales, Australia384 views
Aurora has been on dialysis for 3 years and until recently drove to Sydney General Hospital alone. After a foot amputation, Aurora can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 15 km each way.
Aurora is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Take care, Rebecca. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. My mother had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Take care
