Volunteer drivers wanted: Athanasios's dialysis appointments
A rota of drivers to Athens General Hospital would keep Athanasios on treatment. Even one trip a week helps.
🇬🇷 Athens, Attica, Greece890 views
Athanasios has been on dialysis for 4 years and until recently drove to Athens General Hospital alone. After an eyesight problem, Athanasios can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week.
We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 4 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 28 km each way.
Athanasios is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food.
Please say which day works for you in the comments.
Thanks for being kind about this.

It takes guts to ask. Well done. We're a small family in 6th of October City but we're thinking of you. Take care.
